MetaShield Announces US Patent for Novel Formula Technology

New York, NY, Nov. 20, 2018 /PRNewswire/–MetaShield, LLC, a pioneer in advanced materials technology, today announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office has issued to it US Patent No. 10,131,802 that covers a novel and scalable advanced material formula.   The patent is for invention of a durable, optically clear, multi-use coating material.

Unlike petroleum-based coatings in common use today, this new material provides years of ultraviolet sunlight and radiation damage resistance making it suitable for a myriad of every-day uses. Most optically clear petroleum-based products when continuously exposed to sunlight will continue to polymerize until the coating hardens beyond its ability to remain flexible and fractures.

Common modes of application include conventional and ultrasonic spraying, dip coating, and spin coating depending on the intended use and line speed. MetaShield products are specifically designed for easy application and integration into common high throughput manufacturing processes.
